Podcast Trailer Video Editor | Fio Bros (7.95K)

What’s up! We’re looking for a part-time video editor to join our team 😀 Please read on if you’re interested. It’ll be a super fun job for someone who wants to flex their creativity, with lots of autonomy, and working on stuff that’ll hopefully be seen by millions of people around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

We’re looking to drastically increase our output over the next 3-6 months so you’ll be key in helping us level up and accelerate our production speed. This will involve:

• Editing trailer-style podcast introductions for the YouTube channel (60-90 seconds)
• Repurposing the same introduction videos into vertical video trailers for Instagram
• We will be providing the EXACT 60-90 seconds of footage you will be editing. Your job is to take the video we provide and make it as visually and audibly engaging as possible - using transitions, visual effects, b-roll, and music (we will provide access to Epidemic Sound)

Requirements

• You’re an expert using Premiere Pro and you’ve got experience with motion graphic software like After Effects.
• You’ve seen, read and heard enough of our content to understand the strategy, tone and style and you’d be able to replicate that tone and style in all your work.
• You're excited by the idea of joining a small team and developing the brand over the next 1-3 years rather than just serve as an editor - we want someone who's excited about growing this into a world-leading business over the coming years.
• You’re able to thrive in an ambitious, fast-paced and flexible environment with a high degree of autonomy. This isn’t a position for someone who isn’t comfortable with change.
• You're able to work to shared deadlines and have content ready to publish when it’s needed, always looking to stay ahead of the game.
• You’re able to work effectively in a team environment. We want people who are collaborative rather than competitive.
• You’re able to use your initiative to suggest new directions or projects for the business.
• You’re focussed on providing value to our community.
• You’re able to keep it real. We don’t do gossip or bullsh*t.

2. Trial Task - Take this footage and edit it for a prospective podcast trailer. (We’ve already edited a trailer using this footage here. See if you can blow ours away - without losing our overall style and tone!)
