About the job

I mainly focus on recipe videos with supplementary talking head/full day of eating/review videos in-between. Currently I need an editor for 2-3 videos a month and I post once per week. This could very easily turn into 4 videos in the near future. I also make short form videos from the long form recipe videos, which would be 2-6 videos per month. I would love my long form editor to make those short form videos if possible. I typically get my editors the footage 7-8 days before I need the final edit. This can be anywhere from 50gb to 150gb of 4K footage that comes from 2 cameras shooting different angles. If it is a recipe video, this also comes with a VoiceOver for the script and the script itself with supplemental notes for the editor I have written throughout.

Job requirements

I am looking for someone that: -is great at telling a story through their editing. -is passionate about visual effects and sound design to enhance the story. -understands good pacing, especially in the intro. -has good intuition on when to use certain camera angles/clips vs others and when to switch between the two/use a split screen for more visual appeal/better retention. -has experience with ad reads and making the visual marketing as effective as possible. (See examples in my sample YouTube videos) -can turn nothing into something. Although 90-95% of a VoiceOver will line up with a particular clip, not every sentence in a VoiceOver will. For example: A clip from another video may need to be added or a visual may need to be made in Premiere/Final Cut or something like Canva. Ideal: -Has edited food content before. -Has a similar sense of humor, so the edit can reenforce the dumb jokes I make or a blooper can be added into the final project that wasn't initially expected. -Has a natural interest in the fitness industry/Foodtuber community which would make everything even more seamless, but is not required
