About the job
I'm looking for a growth-mindset YouTube scriptwriter who understands how to craft a good hook, keep the audience engaged, and how to use classical storytelling techniques to take content to the next level of production quality with high retention AND a deep resonating purpose to exist. People of unusual backgrounds are welcome. I'm transitioning to more of a physical & hardware-based "maker" creator building DIY smart glasses, robot dogs to take out the trash, and collars that learn what cat meows mean... So I'll give you the target audience, project plan & journey, basic themes, scenes that must be included, reference materials, etc., for you to truly assemble & craft it into narrative art that encompasses: * core dramatic argument(s) relating to perseverance against failure * parallel narratives with long term payoffs & easter eggs * theme reversal & catharsis If you're not experienced with this niche, that's okay. If you're not sure you meet the requirements, that's okay. If you didn't study engineering, film, or writing, that's okay. I don't care about degrees, certificates, schooling as much as I do about having the drive to do great things & constantly getting better.
Ideal candidate
* has a growth mindset, always learning & improving * has a deep understanding of story structure (e.g. knows what Hegelian Dialectic means) * has strong desire to learn as much about succeeding on YouTube as possible * has some (at least 2hrs) working-hour overlap with Pacific Time * has EITHER ** a portfolio of creative work I can review ** [OR] ** can write short, three-paragraph-max argument on why Iron Man (2008) character development is significantly better than any MCU character since[1] [1] I will not steal this & use this for future content fodder, it is just to gauge your thought process. YOU, however, can definitely use it for future content.
Job requirements
* has ability to stoically defend decisions with logic, references to be communicated in English * has schedule & motivation to work with me on at least two scripts per month with short feedback cycles
