Video editor | Flying The Nest (1.25M)

About the job

We are looking for a supplementary video editor who works within Premiere Pro. We create travel vlogs on a weekly basis, please refer to our YouTube channel for our style. Generally we shoot around 2-3 hours of footage per vlog - which usually gets turned into a 18-25 minute vlog.

Ideal candidate

- Experience within video editing (min 3 years) - Experience in sound design (SFX and Music) - Able to create an engaging story from content provided - Has initiative to try something new - Able to understand our style (www.youtube.com/flyingthenest) and also bring something new to the table - Can create short form from long form

Job requirements

- Works in Adobe Premiere Pro (with proxies) - would need to be able to turn around a vlog within the week (we generally shoot anywhere from 2-3 hours worth of footage per vlog which includes talking to camera, b-roll, drone, GoPro). - Must be able to match our style of editing but also bring something new to the table - Able to edit engaging intros (first 30 seconds) - Sound design (Sound effects + music choice) and be able to ensure audio levels for vlogging scenes are increased and matched - Can be provided a simple dot point run down of the story / run down of the vlog and able to create an engaging story - Please provide examples of editing videos (ideally within the travel/vlogging scene) that include b-roll, vlogging, sound design etc. - Please also provide a quote to edit a vlog - Bonus points if they are able to also turn long form content and create 1-3 short form videos from that weeks vlog. - Must be open to a trial
