About the Job

We are looking for a creative and skilled YouTube Scriptwriter to join The Cooking Foodie team! This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the voice of a well-established food channel with millions of views and a loyal audience. Your main task will be to craft engaging, fun, and informative scripts for recipe videos that keep viewers hooked from start to finish. You'll work closely with the creator to match the tone, style, and pacing of the brand.

This is a remote, part-time freelance position, with potential for long-term collaboration.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about food, cooking, and storytelling
• Understands YouTube and how to write for audience retention
• Knows how to keep viewers engaged using a natural, entertaining tone
• Can write in a way that sounds human, unscripted, and personable
• Pays attention to detail and can work independently while sticking to deadlines
• Has experience writing for YouTube or digital content (bonus if it’s in the food niche!)

Job Requirements

Proven experience in scriptwriting for YouTube or video content

Strong command of English (grammar, tone, flow)

Ability to research, outline, and write 4-10 minute scripts per brief

Knowledge of basic YouTube storytelling structure: hook, value delivery, CTA

Ability to adapt and match an existing voice and tone (you'll get samples)

Reliable communication and quick turnaround time

Bonus: Understanding of SEO, trends, or viral content formats.
