The Role

As a video editor, you’ll craft engaging, educational videos that bring our ideas to life — using pacing, visuals, music, and storytelling to help our audience learn how to grow on YouTube. 

Contract Type: Freelance with potential for full-time hire.

Role and Responsibilities

•  Edit long-form scripts for YouTube videos.
• Edit short-form scripts for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
• Transform video ideas/titles/scripts into compelling edits.
• Edit strong hooks and engaging storytelling to boost audience retention.
• Edit educational videos tailored to the creator economy.
• Manage video timelines and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate closely with the YouTube producers, scriptwriters, and other team members to ensure cohesive content. 

About You

• Minimum 1 year’s experience 
• Experience of working in a similar role for another creator  
• Experience with YouTube Video Editing (Hook, retention, CTAs, etc.)
• Understands what makes YouTube Videos go Viral
• Is a consumer of YouTube content 
• Self-starter who thrives working independently
