Video Editor - 4-6 Long Form/Month (Long-Term) | Creative Direct

About the Job:

We are a YouTube-focused creative agency seeking a skilled video editor/motion designer for long-term collaboration (long-form educational content).

The work spans multiple clients and editor would need to be able to edit at levels similar to Iman Gadzhi, Johnny Harris, and Kallaway. If you cannot replicate the styles of editing in these channels, please do NOT apply. You’ll be tested on this before being hired.

What to expect in the upcoming months (there may be slight fluctuations from time to time): 

May:

Paid trial/training period working on 2-3 longform videos (10-20 min each, 1 week turnaround time including revisions per video, $180 per video)

June: 

3 30-60 min videos, 1 week turnaround time including revisions per video, $250 per video

2 10-20 min videos, 1 week turnaround time including revisions per video, $180 per video

July onward: 

4 30-60 min videos, 1 week turnaround time including revisions per video, $250 per video

2 10-20 min videos, 1 week turnaround time including revisions per video, $180 per video

Pay increases after reaching goals for 12 months

About Us: 

Creative Direct is an agency that focuses on serving high-level businesses that use YouTube to bring in leads. 

We take everything related to their YouTube channel off their plate except for shooting videos (channel management, ideation, creative direction, scripting, editing, thumbs, posting, and analytics). 

So far, we’ve generated over 120 Million views on YouTube for our clients. 

You would work directly with me (Creative Director) to delight our clients with high-quality edits that serve their goals and exceed their expectations.  

Skills Required: 

* Story-based editing

* Creating modern visual assets

* Animations (2D and basic 3D)

* Creative use of titles

* Keyframing

* Editing Multicam projects

* Color grading

* Audio editing (eq/sound isolating talking mic and mixing with bg music/sfx)

* Effective use of music and sound effects

Job Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Minimum 2 years video editing experience
• Proficient in 2D and 3D motion graphics and YouTube editing techniques
• Actively has access to the latest legal versions of either Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or Davinci Resolve
• Actively has access to the latest legal version of After Effects
• Strong, consistent internet connection, and hardware that is up to the task (computer + at least 2 TB of free storage at all times)
• Editor must source all imagery and clips (all content must be copyright-free, licensed, or well within fair-use laws)
• Able to contribute copyright-free music 
• Available to communicate between 9am-3pm PST
