About the Position:

I’m looking for an experienced scriptwriter in the personal brand space, someone with a proven track record of working with successful YouTubers who have large personal brands. In addition to running my personal YouTube channel, @Colewherld, with over 820,000 subscribers, I also own OSSA.AI—an AI-driven short-form video generation startup that has recently surpassed 125,000 users.

We’re seeking a Lead Scriptwriter to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly with me to transform ideas into compelling scripts for YouTube and short-form content for OSSA.AI’s social media channels. You’ll also collaborate on long-form scripts for my personal YouTube channel. Your work will play a key role in reaching new audiences globally with engaging video content.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing scripts for large YouTube creators with strong personal brands.
• Track record of writing scripts for videos that have gone viral on YouTube.
• Creative mindset with the ability to develop video ideas for both long-form and short-form content.
• Experience writing for personal brand YouTubers and short-form platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
• Deep understanding of YouTube scripting frameworks that drive virality.
• Strong knowledge of social media algorithms and trends.
• Collaborative experience working with executives and creative teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with me and the video editors to create viral video concepts for short-form platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Write long-form scripts and short-form scripts for OSSA.AI’s YouTube channel.
• Write long-form scripts for my personal YouTube channel, Colewherld.
• Develop video titles and new concepts based on successful past content and emerging trends.
• Manage and submit scripts using our content management system in Airtable.
• Stay updated on social media trends, scripting techniques, and viral content strategies.
• Take creative control during the scriptwriting process when needed.
• Oversee and mentor new scriptwriters as our team expands, helping them grow within both OSSA.AI and the Colewherld brand.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience in AI, tech, or SaaS-related industries.
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and SEO best practices for long-form video content.
• Proven ability to create YouTube thumbnails with a high click-through rate.
