About the Job

We are looking for a remote short-form editor for our education account @justicethetutor and product review account @justicebuys. We currently have 6M total followers across all platforms. For our education channel, the short-form videos will range from 10-40s long and will be similar to the style already on my channel and similar to @goharsguide, @hankgreen, and @jawdroppingscience. For our product review channel, the short-form videos will range from 10-45 seconds long and similar to the videos on the TikTok accounts @justicebuys @mik.zenon @stuffyouactuallyneed @simplysalfinds @giftgenius. The videos will be either single product review, 3-5 products, or 10 product compilation videos in various categories such as kitchen gadgets, home products, and more.

Ideal Candidate

• Have 2+ years of SHORT FORM editing experience (ideally Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Have basic motion graphics and animation experience
• Understand how social media algorithms work
• Can edit in a way to optimize user retention and engagement while maintain brand identity
• Extensive knowledge the structure of viral videos
• Understand sound design (transitions, risers, etc)
• Quick to respond
• Proficient in English
• Open for feedback
• Eager to learn and improve
• Is technologically savvy and a GREAT problem solver
• Proactive and goes above and beyond
• Delivers videos ON TIME

• You have a fast internet upload and download speed
• You use the newest version of Adobe Premiere Pro
• Edit 4x short-form videos per week with less than a 2 day turnaround
• You can share a portfolio of 5+ short-form videos that you have edited that are similar to my content and adequately shows your abilities
• You are fluent in English
• Edit the raw footage according to my instructions and feedback
• Ensuring the videos are clear, concise, and engaging for the viewers
• Must be open to a revision process (revisions will lessen as you are integrated with our team's style)
• You are proactive and eager to work with me and follow my vision and style
• You are detail-oriented but also efficient in your work and can meet tight deadlines
• You can take constructive criticism well and learn quickly from feedback
• You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and communicate with me regularly and promptly via email, phone, or video call
• You have a computer that can handle editing 10GB video files via Google Drive
• You have amazing problem-solving abilities and go above and beyond
